Nicholas LaTona D.C.
Location: Honolulu
Dr. Nick LaTona, D.C., grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and went on to receive his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland University.
Following his graduation, he ventured to Calabria, the southernmost region of Italy, where he introduced chiropractic treatment to the locals. Due to the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic, Dr. LaTona returned to the United States and decided to pursue his other aspiration of practicing in Hawaii.
Dr. LaTona's interest in chiropractic treatment was sparked by a personal experience he had as a young teenager while working as a baker. At the age of 14, he sustained a severe lower back injury that required medical attention. Although he was prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxers, he sought alternative methods of treatment beyond medication. Through this journey, he discovered the benefits of chiropractic care, which inspired him to pursue a career in the field.
Dr. LaTona's dedication to family and prenatal chiropractic care stems from his upbringing in a close-knit family, where he learned the importance of caring for others. With 13 nieces and nephews, he has a passion for family care, leading him to pursue certification in Webster's Technique, a pre-natal chiropractic technique that optimizes fetal positioning and reduces intrauterine constraint. This certification enables him to provide safe and effective care to pregnant women and their developing babies, aligning with his commitment to family-centered chiropractic care.
When he's not in the chiropractic clinic, Dr. LaTona enjoys pursuing various hands-on hobbies such as sewing, upholstery, auto and motorcycle repair, and woodworking.
